The first two hours at a St. Thomas EV Charging Station are complimentary. Charging stations may be used by students, faculty, staff and visitors.
Where to find EV Charging Stations at St. Thomas
St. Thomas offers Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations in five locations on the St. Paul Campus:
- Anderson Parking Facility (2 vehicle capacity)
- Anderson Student Center Garage (2 vehicle capacity)
- Frey Residence Hall Garage (3 vehicle capacity)
- Lot K (south of McNeely) (2 vehicle capacity)

Policies and Guidelines for EV Charging Stations
For the sake of the electric vehicle community, please note:
- EV charging stations are for EV charging only, not "parking" without charging.
- EV charging stations are not reserved parking for EV vehicles that are not actively charging.
- EV charging stations are not a "parking" spot; they are a "charging" spot.
- The first two hours of EV Charging is currently complimentary; after two hours, an hourly charge will start and be charged to your ChargePoint* account
Access to EV Charging Stations
The charging stations on the St. Thomas campus require the ChargePoint app* to sign in and initiate charging. The app is needed even if you plan to stay only for the two hours of complimentary charging time.
The vehicle being charged must be legally parked in the parking facility. This means the driver either has a parking contract for the garage, or has paid for hourly visitor parking.
