How the 2030 Strategic Plan Was Created

The St. Thomas 2030 Strategic Plan is the product of months of listening, collaboration and visioning across our campus community. It reflects the unique moment in history in which we find ourselves.

A working group comprised of 14 representatives from faculty and staff advised President Vischer on priorities important to the community. Based on their guidance, the University then held more than 40 community listening sessions to gather input from the St. Thomas community.

On May 15, 2025, the Board of Trustees approved our new five-year strategic plan—a bold and mission-centered roadmap that will guide the University of St. Thomas to the year 2030.
